Hana "Paq" Doering Cancer Battle

On January 9th, 2019, Hana “Paq” Doering was diagnosed with breast cancer. About 2 to 3 months prior, she detected a lump on her right breast, immediately bringing it to her doctor’s attention during a physical taking place in December 2018. Biopsy results showed that the lump was malignant.
Her care team originally staged the cancer as 1B or early 2 but a series of additional imaging soon advanced that to Stage 4, as the cancer has metastasized to her pelvic bone. Less than a month after diagnosis, Hana began a course of treatment that is rigorous, involving 5 months of chemotherapy, an extensive surgery and lengthy recovery, as well as radiation and eventually, a decade of hormone therapy. The burdens of this diagnosis have ultimately caused her to be unable to work throughout treatment.
If you personally know Hana, you more than likely consider her to be one of the strongest people you have ever encountered in your life. She is a fighter, and we are confident in her ability to face whatever comes from this ruthless disease with her usual tenacity and optimism.
However, as a single mom with no income, Hana needs our help to assist with medical bills and living expenses so she can focus on her health and provide care for her 7-year-old daughter, Audrey, until she has finished treatment and cancer is something she is managing, not fighting.
