Hamtramck 50 for 100 Fundraiser

Tax deductible
Help the Friends of Historical Hamtramck celebrate 100 years of Hamtramck cityhood — and make some much-needed upgrades to the Hamtramck Historical Museum.
For 100 years, Hamtramck has welcomed immigrants. The Hamtramck Historical Museum celebrates the immigrant experience, as told through the eyes of the people from all over the world who have made their homes here.
Although we're a small museum in a small city, we take pride in sharing our world-class museum experience with visitors from across the state, country and globe. But our museum is housed in a historic old building on Jos. Campau Ave., and over the years, the repairs have become necessary. We need to fix some structural issues to continue to share Hamtramck's unique story for many more years. To do that, we'll need about $50,000, $25,000 of which is critical maintenance.

What We Need:
$10,000 - $12,000: Floor repair and new carpet.
$12,000 - $15,000: Back wall demolition, elevator access, new kitchen for event rentals, and more display space.
$10,000: Front of building repairs, including removal of accordion gate to allow better access to the museum.
$15,000: Stair repair, basement pillar restoration and asbestos remediation.
