Help send the Hampden Academy vocal and instrumental jazz groups to Florida in April of 2022!
The performing arts have been particularly hit hard by COVID. All performing arts groups came to a screeching halt in March of 2020. While other activities, such as sports, slowly began to return, performing arts have been sitting on the sidelines, waiting for their turn. It has only been within the last month or so that music has begun really returning to schools, but not without restrictions. With all of this happening, life continues to move on. Every 4-years the Hampden Academic vocal and instrumental jazz groups plan a performance trip to Florida, currently scheduled for April of 2022. We are very hopeful that COVID will be in our rearview mirror by this time, however the trip may be in jeopardy since we have not been able to fundraise over the past year. While we are still in the initial planning phases, we do know that the average cost will most likely be over $1,200 per student, and with more than 70 participants expected, we have a large task ahead of us.
Lets pull together as a community and help support these students! Any financial donation, no matter how large or small, is greatly appreciated.
The Hampden Academy Music Association (HAMA) is a parent group that supports the efforts of the Hampden Academy music department. The group’s chief responsibilities are to organize and manage fundraising, and to organize volunteer support for Music Activities.
