Jo Ellen “Ellie” Halm, 22, of Alexandria, Va., passed away on November 13, 2020. A private service celebrating her life will be held on Ellie’s birthday, Tuesday, November 24, at 4:30 p.m. in Callaway Chapel at Episcopal High School and will be streamed online via Webex. Special Disney-themed masks were ordered for those attending the service (Ellie loved everything Disney) and several meals from the Halms' favorite restaurants (Northside 10 and Rangos) have been arranged for next week.

This Go Fund Me page was set up to give friends near and far an opportunity to contribute the masks and meals. Money donated above $1500 will go to a one-time donation to the music department at Franklin and Marshall College Ellie's name. Because of everyone's generosity, the Halm's are also looking into additional opportunities to make donations in Ellie's name in ways that honor her light and the joy she brought to the world with her love of music and children.
