We’re turning the puppy bus repair situation into a 50/50 fundraiser for Mo Mountain Mutts and Paws & Claws Animal Shelter.
Our recent bus repairs, including the tires, came to about $2,800 total. Since every dollar raised is being split 50/50, we’ve set the fundraiser goal at $5,600 — $2,800 to cover the bus and $2,800 for Paws & Claws.
And if we happen to exceed that goal, 100% of anything raised beyond $5,600 will go to Paws & Claws.
We’ve shared a little bit about our bus troubles recently, and quite a few of you offered to help. We initially held off because we don’t really like asking for help unless we need it.
Then we recently lost one of our longtime dog friends, Wesson.
The response to his tribute was incredible and reminded us just how big this little dog community has become. It also felt like the right opportunity to turn some of that attention into something positive for the animals in our community.
Paws & Claws does a ton for Skagway, helping animals in need, organizing visiting veterinary care, and being there for families during some of the hardest moments of pet ownership.
So if people want to help us get the puppy bus safely back on the road, we’d like to make sure that help goes twice as far.
Half for the bus. Half for the shelter. And once the bus is covered, it’s all for the animals.
Whether you donate, share, or just follow along, we appreciate you being part of it.
