Heritage Anti-racist Liberation Artists (HALA)

HALA (check our website or join) is part of our 2024 Queer Revolution, where we're not just collaborating; we're crafting a rebellious community funded collab or a masterpiece that elevates LGBTQ+ voices in ways that defy the ordinary.

Mission
Our mission? We're sculpting and amplifying queer voices that echo with the resonance of liberation. Forget conformity; we're dismantling tokenization with strokes of defiance. Standing shoulder to shoulder, we boycott, diversify, and lay sanctions on institutions attempting to cage our artistic spirit.

Vision
Embark with us on this radical odyssey, where art isn't just rebellion; it's a symphony of unapologetic existence. We're rewriting the narrative, paying homage to the kaleidoscopic spectrum of queer stories. Together, we're not merely challenging the status quo; we're demolishing it, creating a stage where every queer voice reverberates like a revolutionary anthem. Ready to showcase your true essence?
In this collaboration, we're boycotting conformity with a palette of artistic defiance.

Our core values
1. Transparent: Fully transparent financials, planning, and decision making.
2. Compassionate: Fosters understanding, embracing diversity, uplifting experiences.
3. Inclusive: Supports every unique journey with understanding and respect.
4. Anti-racist: Boycotts apartheid, colonial oppression, and all forms of racism.

Our collective support and expectations from one another
1. We are an open book. Transparent and equitable pay. We all know how much everyone made and why. With the receipts.
2. We are radically consenual. We respect each others boundaries and phsycological safety.
3. We are all each others mentors. We learn from each others experiences and hold hands to overcome our individual faults.
4. We promote and show up for each others. We advocate for each others financial, physical, mental, and creative wellbeing.
5. We are each an individual and equal voice. We will address feedback in 48 hours. We all vote on critical actions.
6. We never abandon one another. Some of us were abandoned by our communities. But none of us will abandon one another.

2024 action plan - $5,000 fund
1. Host four events centering queer and trans artists who uphold anti-imperialism and anti-apartheid state. The fund will pay the costs upfront and aim to pay back the costs from the total revenue from the party.
2. Allocate 10% of the net revenue from these events to support a local queer organization, championing their crucial community initiatives.
3. Direct an additional 10% of the net revenue to empower a local activist striving for positive change, reinforcing our commitment to grassroots impact.
4. Distribute the rest of the revenue equally and transparently across all contributers based on their own cateogry. Detailed pay breakdowns per each category will be fully transparent to all the community with the relevant receipts.
5. Dedicate 10 percent of event tickets as grants for community members who may face financial barriers, ensuring inclusivity and access for all.
