Our beloved sister, Local 706 hairstylist Erma Kent has suffered the tragic loss of her son Hakim Kent.
Hakim, a friend to all was also an I.A.T.S.E. Local 728 member.
Hakim was also a beloved father to two sons. The oldest Amahnte, just graduated from Washington State University and dreams of grad school.
The younger son, also named Hakim is a student as well as a football player at John Muir HS in Pasadena.
We’re hoping to provide a little financial stability to the boys as they carry on through this unimaginable loss. I’m really hoping we can give these guys just a little hope and a little less worry as they imagine a life without their dad. No gift is too small we all know a little love can go a long way! In solidarity and love.
