Hello world.
In March 2020 I’ll be travelling with an organization called Hair Aid to Thailand. I’ll be part of a team of volunteer hairdressers from all around the world, travelling to Chiang Mai. We will be teaching Hair Aid’s five day hair cutting course in a few local communities. This skill can then be used by the local people to start a micro business and create an income to support themselves and their family.
We will be working with women rescued from the sex trade, older orphans, street and slum dwellers and single mothers.
Along with free training, each trainee will get a basic toolkit, giving them the skills and the tools to create their own micro business immediately.
These people currently live in critical poverty, unable to get any access to any form of training unless it’s free. That’s what Hair Aid’s does, and I could not be more excited to join this incredible team.
I feel strongly about the mission of this organization and I can’t wait to get involved. The money raised goes towards travel, the training I will receive in order to teach, the supplies we need to teach and also the tool kits we give the women. Any additional money raised will be donated directly to the Hair Aid organization.
