Hurricane Harvey Recovery

My name is Ron and my family and I lost our house and 95% of our belongings due to the flooding from Hurricane Harvey. We live Huffman,Tx. The money raised will go to replacing what we have lost once the house has been rebuilt. All furniture was lost, as well as both bedroom suites and the tvs and electronics and the living room stuff too. Clothing was ruined and had to be thrown out as we tried washing it and the smell and stains wouldnt come out.
We were gathering items up just in case we flooded; but werent in a hurry because the landlord said this area hasnt flooded that high in over 20 yrs. That was all done with when they all came by hurriedly and said that they are leaving and made us go with them. The water came up over 3 feet in just over an hour and kept coming. We had to hurry and put things up off the floor in hopes that it wouldnt get wet. We had time to grab a very few sets of clothes and get our cats into the carrier before the water was coming in thru the doors ! We got out of there on my john boat and made it up the street to where my car and my work van were sitting. We unloaded the boat and i tied it to a tree near the house and we went looking for shelter. Finally after 3 hours of driving and looking and phone calls, we found that the people my wife works for had a house that wasnt finished yet, but was dry and should have electricity. We arrived to find the house was dark with no running water. We checked breakers and couldnt get anything on and couldnt do too much as it was steadily raining and pitch black , so we all found us a room and slept in the hot house on the floor for the night. The next day we got partial electicity on and the water pump on also. We slept there for the second night.
The next day we still couldnt get back to our house and ended up driving about 30 miles to Crosby were my wifes dad lives and, graciously, he took us in.
We got back to the house 4 days later and WOW, ive never seen something like that first hand. So far, its taken a few days to get things out and theres still more to do.
My guys at Stanley jumped in immediately and began helping with food and water. Thank yall so much.
We are ok at the present moment but are going to need help with replacing all that was lost.
