Hadleigh Rugby Club Fire

At 11:58pm on Mon 8th June Hadleigh Fire Brigade attended a fire at Layham Road Sports Ground, home to Hadleigh RFC. By the time the fire had been put out it had leveled the club's store room/outbuilding, destroyed the home changing room, shower block and toilets and caused significant smoke damage to Hadleigh Tennis Club's adjoining clubroom.
On Tuesday it was confirmed that this was arson. The news that this was a deliberate act is upsetting not least because we are a small club run by volunteers for our community. We are, however, determined to recover. Our goal is to be ready for the new season. That's going to be a challenge, but with the help of our amazing members, our Town Council our local community and our wonderful rugby family across the UK we hope to be able to meet the challenge and kick of the new season in style.
We have set up this page to help us meet the costs of replacing the things which may not be covered by our insurance. The costs of helping the Tennis Club get its club room back to working order, the costs of helping the Town Council help us get back on our feet, the costs of replacing personal items and equipment lost in the fire. Any funds we raise that we cannot immediately put to good use we will use to develop our club youth sections.
