Surgery for Penny

Hi everyone! Rebecca here. Most of you know that I’m really close with Heather, she’s my best friend. Recently she brought home Penny, the gorgeous bulldog in the photo. She was told Penny was perfect and healthy! Except she wasn’t. Penny was sick and in and out of the vets office for the first couple of months. Eventually, Penny did get better. Just as things were looking up, she started dragging her back leg. After a couple of visits to the vet, they did X-rays. Initially they were told it was a luxating patella which didn’t seem like a huge problem. Then after a full examination of xrays, they broke the news that Penny will need a full hip replacement as soon as possible. Penny is still very very young, and we now know she is in constant pain. She is on pain killers until they can raise the funds to get their baby into surgery. If you know Heather, you know she’s far too proud to do this for herself, but I’m not. Her pups are her babies, and if you know me, you know mine are too.
