We're Stuck...

I had always hoped that if I was going to use one of these sites it would be for a cool project of some sort but, alas, it's come to this...
For the last 5 years since losing my business and our house Jeanne and I have struggled to get back on our feet but it's been an endless succession of one step forward/three steps back and now our bad luck has painted us into a corner. We have been talking about doing this since July but kept putting it off hoping something would change... it did not. Now we're out of time and out of ideas. Having just changed my job at the beginning of September the final straw was learning that Jeanne's unemployment benefits which she had only been collecting since February of this year were cut off the day after I started my new job. She appealed the decision but to no avail.
Since getting laid off in February Jeanne has been going to school full time training to be a licensed massage therapist and working part time in the afternoons. My new job is great with better pay than I was making at my previous employment and I have been working as much overtime as I can get but combined it's not enough to get us through the winter yet we make too much to get food stamps. Jeanne finishes school in February 2015 and will be able to work full time as soon as that happens and that is the goal we are trying to reach.
Ours is certainly not a unique situation nor is it more deserving than others but we have tried everything else, we just want to make it to March when Jeanne can start working again. The amount we are requesting would go toward a couple of months worth of utilities, food, and repairs to our vehicles so we can get to and from our jobs. We do not expect to reach our goal but even half of it would be a huge help, asking for it in this way has been one of the hardest things I've ever had to do but if it means heat and food for our kids then I can't worry about my personal pride.
I have been unable to think of what we could give in return to any who donate but I promise I will think of something. I would like to request that this link not be shared in an open format, if you would like to tell others then please do it by email or private message; this is humiliating enough as it is. So many of our friends have already helped us through the last 5 years it seems unfair to ask for more help and if you have assisted us in the past please sit this one out, we are already grateful for your generosity.
In just under 2 months I turn 50 and this sure isn't how I imagined hitting a half century but what're you going to do? You do what you have to do. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
