Send Marc to Camp

We are trying to raise money to send Marc to camp. He wants to go to Camp Young Judaea Midwest. It is the leading Jewish overnight camp in our region. Right now he is signed up for 2 weeks which costs $2,000. He then has the option to stay even longer if he likes it, adding another $1,000 to the total, giving us the $3,000 dollar goal.

A little bit about our family. Marc is 9 years old, and has a sister who is 2. I am currently separated from their dad/step-dad. I work two jobs to make ends meet. I have been falling behind on all of the bills, but I am determined to give my son a childhood in which he does not need to worry about grown-up things. He overhears a lot about not having money, and tries not to ask for toys other than for his birthday or holidays. He even offers me some of his birthday money to help pay bills. A 9 year old should not even know what a bill is yet, he should be out enjoying playing with friends. He has given up playing soccer one season because I could not afford the fees. Marc is very excited about going to the Jewish camp. He is one of only 4 children in his religious school class. We live in an area that has a small Jewish population, and this camp will help him meet more chidlren like him, as well as learn more about Judiasm.
