Asking for help is very hard. We tried to avoid asking others for help, but life got too tough. So, please help.
In late 2013, my ex sent me down a road that led to a legal battle for no reason. He falsely accused me of stealing his identity and I was charged with a felony. In early 2014 the charges were dropped and the case was dismissed due to lack of evidence. Well, that's because I didn't do anything wrong in the first place. Now I have to pay my lawyer, obviously.
There wasn't enough evidence to turn this around on him so I'm stuck with all these fees. This was bound to be rough on my life. I was either going to end up in jail for something I didn't do, or pay a good laywer to save me. My lawyer was amazing and I want to make sure I can pay him and not get into more hot water.
It's not a ton of money, but when you're living with bascially one income for the family, we had to turn somewhere. We are asking friends, family, anyone... if you even have $5 to help us out, that would be amazing.
