Taryn Suttie - Olympic Hopeful

Hello family, friends and supporters!

I'm gearing up for a very crucial and exciting two years in my athletic career, and I could really use your support!

In preparation for this upcoming competition season, I am hoping to head to Tucson, Az this winter for warm weather training camp(s) to work with my training partner/ coach, Justin Rodhe (2012 Shot put Olympian and ranked 6th in the world in 2013). These training camps are absolutely imperative if I am going to reach my goals in the next two years leading up to the Olympics.

I am asking for your help to raise the funds, which will cover my flights, food, rent and travel while in Tucson.

Training with my coach this winter is what I need to prepare for success in the 2015 and 2016 competition seasons. Training camps allow for intense training and proper recovery while avoiding the distractions and busy life at home. Being coached on a daily basis will help improve my technique, and throwing outdoors throughout the winter will have me ready to throw far when I open my outdoor season.

After a winter of hard training and a few indoor competitions, I will attend meets in California and Arizona this spring before attending the Canadian Championships in Edmonton. From there I hope to qualify for the 2015 Pan Am games in Toronto, as well as the 2015 World Championships in Beijing. My ultimate goal is to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, but I can't do it on my own.

Training is currently going great but I need to keep the ball rolling by heading to Tucson. I need to give everything I've got to qualify for these events and consistently training with my coach will give me my best chance for success!
