More information about Alder Hey Family House Trust: Ronald McDonald House provides accomodation for families of children with critical illnesses who are inpatients at Alder Hey Children's Hospital. This is provided free of charge, for as long as the child is an inpatient. There are 84 rooms, communical kitchens, play areas, lounges and outdoor play facilities. We are open to families 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, it is the House than love built.

Hello everyone ☺️ as some of you may know on the 7th December 2020 me and Mike stayed in Mac house for a week while Isabella was being treated at alder hay children’s hospital.
When Isabella was just 3 months old after being poorly for a couple of weeks, doctors found a large hole in her heart. We knew her journey would be a long difficult one with regular tests such as ECO’s, ECG’s, MRI scans ect. Then in December she was admitted for open heart surgery.
Naturally me and Mike wanted to stay as close to Isabella as possible without having to drive almost an hour there and back each time so we was delighted to find that not only could we stay at Mac house but we could also be together to support each other during covid restriction times.
By the second night when it was time to leave Isabella, walking from the hospital back to Mac house felt like we was walking home ! All the staff, volunteers and other families was so friendly and welcoming.
Despite all the challenges with the virus, Mac house still kept their doors open allowing us to be close to our beautiful baby when she needed us the most, which is why I would like to raise as much money as possible to help the charity during these difficult covid times.
Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, Mac house have lost 70% of its income due to all fundraising events being cancelled.
Soooo..... With the help of my lovely friend Lynsey, we have come up with some virtual ideas for you all to play along with a chance to win some money for yourself and donate as much as possible to Mac house ☺️
