Help my dad

My father Yohannan PD, came to Toronto on a visiting visa from Pathanamthitta, Kerala in October 2023 to be with us and the grand kids.

He is a cancer survivor. He was treated for mouth cancer two years back and was fully cancer free.

In January 2024, while in Toronto, he fell sick again. It started with pneumonia and after several doctor visits, hospital admissions and investigations, all the while, his health kept deteriorating. In early March 2024 he was diagnosed with lung cancer.

With multiple thoracentesis procedure that was conducted to remove fluid from his lungs at Humber River Hospital, Toronto, my father went through severe weight loss and has concerning blood results, due to which airlines wouldn’t give him clearance to fly. It will be a huge financial burden on us to treat him in Canada without the health insurance.

After exploring multiple options, all of which turned out to be failures, our only option is to take him back to Kerala with the help of medical escort. This will cost around $25,000 CAD or more.

For this reason, we humbly request your help and kindness to fly our father back to Kerala as this is a huge amount for me and my family at this point.
