Help Charlie's Battle with Cancer

Donation protected
My dad Charlie Moniz was diagnosed with Non Small Cell Lung Cancer on Feb 14, 2014. The surgeons removed the right bottom lobe of his lung on May 29, 2014. After they removed it , he continued chemotherapy and radiation in an attempt remove any cancer left . On August 22, 2014 he found out that the cancer had spread to his brain. He continued the radiation treatments but the doctors said it was ineffective. On October 30, 2014 I received a phone call notifying me that he was in the hospital and he wasn't doing well. They said that the tumors were spreading and the cancer had become more aggressive. On Friday October 31, 2014 the doctors suggested putting him on comfort measures, later that afternoon he was alert and talking. On Saturday he went to Boston and got an MRI on Tuesday, when they received the results the doctors informed us there is no cure. After much thought , my dad decided to have brain surgery on November 11, 2014 but, ended up getting pneumonia and an infection in his body.  Which means he can't have surgery until its gone. When he does have surgery, the surgeons will remove some of the tumors and lessen the severe pain he is dealing with on a daily basis. My stepmom Liz has been back and forth with him in the hospital and also taking care of my 3 siblings.  Nicholas who is 13, Sophie who is 6, and Ava who is 2.  I made this to help them with everyday living expenses because as you know ,  my dad can't work and Liz has been taking care of him.   Please keep them in your prayers.

Some of you may know taking care of a sick loved one takes a toll on everyone. Mentally, Physically, Emotionally, and Financially. The prospect of losing someone you love dearly is overwhelming enough , combine  that with the idea of being buried in debt for years to come and it's enough to crush anyone's spirit . I don't think anyone should deal with something like this alone . I'm asking all of you for your help , for your sympathy and  mostly your compassion. We would really appreciate ANY amount of money you can afford to donate . Every dollar we collect will help this loving mother and devoted wife deal with these most unfortunate circumstances . Liz and my dad aren't aware we are doing this . They didnt ask for it nor are they expecting anything . Even with all the  pain and stress and sadness they are dealing with,  they don't want  to ask anyone to go out of their way for them . It shows the type of people they are and character they posess. . . Thank you all for taking time out of your lives to read this . I thank you all from the deepest depths of my heart in advance for any money you donate and I assure you it will go to the greatest cause of all .
