Sharon is a loving Wife, Mother and dog owner in need of financial support with her costly medical expenses.
In August of 2009, 41-year-old Sharon began to notice symptoms similar to that of kidney stones. After visiting her doctor, Sharon was unfortunately diagnosed with stage Four Kidney Cancer in her right kidney. Due to a compromised left kidney, her doctors were unable to immediately remove her tumor. After increasing the health of her left kidney, Sharon’s doctors were successfully able to remove her right kidney and stage four tumor. Although the surgery was a great success, Sharon is now left with only one kidney that is frequently infected and suffers from unreachable, painful stones. Two months ago, Sharon’s doctors informed her that her last kidney is in the beginning stages of renal failure with only 50% function.
Due to a previous condition, Sharon is unable to be placed on a donor list.
In order to improve her health, manage pain, and plan for the future, Sharon needs to visit a Kidney Specialist.
Sharon has no personal insurance and the inability to qualify for subsidized care. Therefore, she is unable to seek out the medical assistance needed to keep her alive.
