GV Disc Golf Club Fundraising for CDG Nationals

Hello there!

We are The Disc Golf Club at Grand Valley State and we are on a journey to gain enough funding to send one team to the College Disc Golf National Championships in Rock Hill, South Carolina from April 2nd to the 6th!

We have gotten funding from GVSU to pay for our tournament entry fees and a form of transportation, but we still are in need of some funding for our lodging, fuel costs, and other traveling needs (as we cannot receive funding from the school for this).

The plan is to leave Monday the 1st, drive for around 12 hours and be able to stay at an Airbnb somewhere around the tournament location.

Our club was established in the fall 2023 semester, with the goal of providing experienced and newer players with fun tournaments, indoor practice sessions, casual outings, and competition teams who compete in the CDG (College Disc Golf). Since our creation, we have hosted our first casual event, competed in three CDG events, and our next big goal is to be able to send a team to nationals! This would be a great experience for the team and would be a great way of getting Grand Valley's name out into the Disc Golf World! It is a big step for our club!

We will be sending our team who has been consistently competing in all CDG events through out this season.
