Guza Family Support Fund

Friends- This is Dennis Guza with his grandkids.  He's a 62 year old husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He was a born and raised Michigander, who 10 years ago retired from his lifelong career at Chrysler to follow his girls when they moved to Virginia.


Dennis has spent at least as many years battling the debilitating effects of MS.  Two weeks ago, he came with his wife, for support, as she returned to Michigan to visit her dying father.   While he was here, he suffered a stroke. He is in neurosurgical ICU in Providence hospital. His two daughters dropped everything and raced up here to be with him.  

After several days by their father's side and some improvement, his girls needed to return home to kids, jobs, and responsibilities. With doctors assurance that their dad was on the mend, they felt comfortable enough to return home to wait for their father to continue improving and return home to beloved Virginia.   

Unfortunately,  blood clots have formed in Dennis's lungs, and fearing the worst, the girls came back up to Michigan to be with him and support their mother.  This time they felt the urgency of the situation demanded they bring the grandkids and spouses as well.  

I am setting this fund up to assist Dennis's family during this time of great stress, worry and heartbreak.  We are confident in God's power to heal, and are praying for such.  But while Den is in such crisis, his family needs to be close to support him, his wife and each other.  This fund is going to do just that.  Hotels costs, gas costs and food costs are not something "in the budget", not to mention the loss of income.  I would like this fund to cover those costs and relieve that stress and worry. I know Den is feeling helpless and guilty for the situation, though it is not within his control.  

Prayer is all we can do for Dennis.  But this fund is something we can do to make a real difference to his family. We can give them some peace, of only in this small way.  Please give what you can so that Dennis's family can stay near him and continue to offer support.
