FULLY FUNDED: Gus, The Great Fights for His Life
Gus, the Great loves people. If you had met him last week he would have likely attempted to lick you to death. Now he is in critical care with a shattered head and heart.
On the morning of August 21, 2020, someone came into our yard and into Gus’s pen and savagely attacked him. The “blunt force trauma” resulted in multiple skull and jaw fractures and the potential loss of his eye. He was hit with such force that the skin on the opposite of his head broke and detached.
The first 24 hours of hospitalization cost $2700+ and now the vet is reporting that our giant, lovable, goofy puppy will require several surgeries in upcoming days to reconstruct his jaw and reattach his face. The estimated costs of these surgeries is an additional $1000-3000.
(Should the money raised here exceed the total cost of his veterinary bills, the balance of any funds raised will be donated to Teller County Regional Animal Shelter tcrascolorado.org)
