Guncotton Coffee is reopening in January but this time with a stronger focus on you and the community!
Hey, there! Cris and Larry here! Guncotton Coffee (located at 238 E Broadway) has been a staple in downtown Hopewell for the past 2-3 years and we are excited to be taking it over to expand the vision and heart of this coffee centered Collaboration Center!

With the community's help, we plan on opening as soon as January 2021! We wouldn't be this far if it weren't for friends, family, and our awesome community. For this, we say thank you!

For donors who contribute beyond the $1,000 mark... we are speechless. THANK YOU. Together we will figure out what GunCotton Coffee can do to convey our gratitude! Whether that includes all the previous perks and a drink named after you we will come up with something awesome.

Guncottons Story and Vision
Originally closed down to the pandemic, the coffee shop is now set to reopen under new management. Led by Crisman White and Larry Hancock, the coffee shop will partner with Legacy Roasting Company to provide freshly roasted coffee in addition to cafe items such as bagels and pastries.
In addition to the coffee shop, the roughly 5,500 square foot location will serve to be a creative collaboration center for Hopewell and the surrounding tri-cities area. In addition to purchasing coffee, tea, or cafe food items, customers will have the option to reserve one of the three upstairs rooms or work from the center co-working sections.
The Mission
1. Accessible
We will be accessible to our customers by offering a tech-driven approach where customers can safely order (curbside) or place orders online.
2. Accommodating
We will be accommodating by offering consistent hours and being a true collaboration center that strives to adapt to our community's needs.
3. Collaborative.
Lastly, for this venture to survive we believe this will require the help of local government, Churches, businesses, and neighborhoods to survive. We will strive to only source from a 10-mile radius for local products and services.
HOW YOUR DONATION HELPS
We are looking to raise $5,000 for the following:
1) Sound Equipment: Our goal is to make the location as inviting as possible we would like to start by installing sound equipment to be used for live bands on the weekends and calming coffee shop music during the day
2) Furnishing for Guests: In doing multiple surveys one of the things we heard loud and clear was comfy furniture. For those who requested we just want to let you know your voice has been heard. :)
3) Projector: In Spring/Summer we would like to use the outside patio more for events and outdoor movie showings. To do this we will need to purchase a projector and necessary supplies.
