Community Activist and Fundraiser, Allington "Gumption" Creque, is once again hitting the high seas on his legendary windsurfing board to raise money.
This time Gumption is windsurfing more than 30 miles on the open ocean! From Prickly Pear Island, VG to Anegada and back to Virgin Gorda, all in the name of better children's education.
A word from Gumption himself about this latest fundraising adventure:
"Due to the pandemic, one of the most important sectors of our community was affected. The schools. More than ever, schools around the world need as much assistance as possible.
On my side of the world, there are two schools that mean a lot to me: Claudia Creque Educational Centre & The Valley Day school - a school I adopted on January 8th, 2018. Not being a “government “ school but a private school, it was critically affected.
I never believed in sitting down and begging, and that is why I’ll be windsurfing 30 miles total to help raise funding for this cause. I’m also using the opportunity to highlight why we should care for our ocean so it can care for us. We might be down as individuals, but we’re not down and out as a community. Thanks for your support."
Please show your support and donate whatever you can to help him reach his $10,000 goal this year for 14 full student scholarships and new school supplies for both schools.
