Familia de la Noche are heading to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year and we need your help to get there.
We are making a new, magical version of Gulliver's Travels and amazing story with all the fantastical things you can expect from a Familia show. There will be tiny people, giant people, mad scientists and talking horses. There will be puppets, masks, beautiful sets and amazing costumes and this is where we need your help.
This year we are pushing the boat out - we want the show to be as visually rich as it is funny and as beautifully crafted as it is heartbreaking. The story has loads of challenges (did you see the bit about the tiny people and the giants - let alone the horses) and we needs some extra cash to make everything as magical as it can be.
We are trying to raise £1250 to pay for set, costumes, puppets, props and masks. To give you and idea of costs:
To create a Gulliver puppet costs about £100
To make a cast of tiny lilputians costs around £25 each
To create a Yahoo mask costs about £40
To hand make each costume (there are lots) costs about £75
We need to transport everything up to Edinburgh and we need to pay for our brilliant designer, Lily Knight's time.
We have given ourselves a deadline to raise this money of the 24th July.
We are pushing ourselves this year to make something spectacular. We had a great year last year - we got more 5* reviews and we won the ThreeWeeks Editors Award for making "consistently outstanding" work. We want to top that this year, and with your help we can.
