Guinevere's cancer battle

Donation protected

update - 12/12/2023
So far Guinevere has been handling her treatments as well as her family could ask. They have had a few unexpected hospital stays, including spending almost a week in isolation while there. The cost for Scott & Marrissa just to feed themselves while at the hospital or clinic has been building up so fast.
Also with the new year starting they will be facing an all new pile up of medical bills. Guinevere's visits, treatments, hospital stays, medications, supplies, equipment and whatever else she may need is not cheap.
Guinevere has been a light to everyone she has met or dealt with during this trying process. She looks at her nurses and doctors as her friends, and loves to visit.
At This point Guinevere has at least 2 more years of extensive treatments to help her beat her cancer battle.

Her family is so overwhelmed with all the love and support that has been shown. They are so appreciative of any donations that have been made to help them get through this time.

On April 24th at 2:36 Pm Marrissa got the phone call no parent wants to hear. “It’s what we feared…it’s Leukemia.”

Guinevere has cancer.

Guinevere is 2.5 years old and was diagnosed with high risk B Cell ALL leukemia. She lives with her mom Marrissa, her dad Scott, and her 10 year old brother Colt. She is one of the funniest, sassy, savage and kind hearted kids I have ever met. She brings so much laughter wherever she goes. Within the short time of knowing her, her nurses already all love her so much. She really is just an amazing kid over all and has brought so much happiness to our family and others around her.

While Marrissa was still on the phone with the pediatrician, she texted me to get there now. Within the hour of that phone call we were rushing in the doors of SUNY Upstate’s cancer center in Syracuse NY. After being evaluated they were sent to the hematology/oncology floor of Galisano Children’s hospital. They spent 8 days in patient, receiving chemo treatments and other care. May 13th they were admitted to the hospital again for an unknown amount of time due to a slight fever.

This will not be the last time they will have to pack up and rush to the hospital, on top of any scheduled inpatient treatments. They are looking at a minimum of almost 3 years of treatments. Her parents could use any help towards eating, transportation and of course the dreaded medical bills that have already started coming with no end in sight. The insurance they have isnt good and so far just for the first stay they are over $3,000.

This family needs all the help they can get. In the short time they have been going through this they have already been thinking of ways to give back once Guinevere is out of this nightmare. Both Scott and Rissa will stop whatever they are doing to come help friends or family. They have in the past volunteered their time for little league and Pop warner. Please consider donating to help this family. They are very close friends and we consider them a part of our family. Guinevere even calls my husband PopPop. We ask that you pray for our little girl and donate if you can. Any little bit will help. We thank you all from the bottom of our heart and I will do my best to keep you all updated.
Thank you again
