Guillermo Arriondo's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On the evening of July 7th, 2020, Guillermo Arriondo was in a serious car crash in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. He was on his way to play tennis (no surprise!) and was hit head-on while driving his ancient, beloved car - a car so ancient that it does not have airbags. In the collision, Guille was "partially ejected" from his car, and while his body mercifully did not suffer major damage, his head took the brunt of the impact. He is currently in critical but stable condition in the Neuro ICU at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. He's had a positive first 24 hours, and is breathing on his own! All of his extremities are functioning. But he is experiencing brain bleeds, which means the road he is on will be a long one. The doctors have not yet offered a prognosis, but it is safe to say that his life, and the lives of his wife and his three daughters, have been permanently altered. We are all simply grateful to have him still with us, and for the graces granted in his journey so far.

If you know Guille, you know he is an incredibly hard-working, kind man, who moved here from Buenos Aires, Argentina to pursue a girl named Donna, a career in architecture, and the American Dream - he’s been successful with all three! He is the primary breadwinner and the everyday hero of his family. Guillermo is self-employed, so he doesn’t have many of the protections that a regular job might afford. Hospital bills are quickly piling up, along with all of the typical household needs. They are facing a very high deductible, and lost wages as he recovers. This is an incredibly scary time for Donna, Ynez, Elena, and Solana. Let’s gather together to support them with prayer, positivity, and whatever else you have in your heart to offer!

We will be updating here as we learn more about Guille’s situation. Thank you for reading, and please #PrayForGuille!
