Guatemalan Orphanage Mission Trip

As many of you probably know, I lost my dad to cancer almost two years ago. Since then, my heart has gone through so many changes. He was such an integral part of my journey with Christ, that losing him changed my whole attitude towards life and faith.

Last semester, I started a job at Templeton Elementary School in Bloomington to work part-time while I'm in Business School. I've always had a special bond with kids, and I can honestly tell you that these little Templeton Tigers have changed my life. Through investing in their lives, I have experienced the kind of joy and genuine happiness that had so recently seemed like a thing of the past for me. I see Jesus in them, and I now reserve the warmest place in my heart for children who need love. I know without a doubt that God is showing me this is what I am made to do!

Someday, I am hoping that I will be able to run Marketing campaigns for Social Impact Organizations, and I am feeling called to get up and go right now, which is so exciting and scary to me! This is why I applied to and have been accepted to travel with the Orphan's Heart Organization to Guatemala March 10-16. As this is a last minute call to missions and I am a broke college student, I haven't been able to save enough money in advance to cover what I will be doing there. Any way that you feel called to help is something I will be eternally grateful for, whether it is a donation or just a prayer to the Big Man that I can show His love to a kid who might not otherwise have a chance. I am so eager to impact the life of a sweet child who might need me, and I genuinely feel like I am being called to travel and further the Kingdom!
