Guatemala Missions Trip - Orphanage

“They desired only that we remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.” (Galatians 2:10)
These are Paul’s words of response to the apostles as he met with them in Jerusalem. The word “eager” involves an element of taking action, and I am ready to do so on behalf of the poor in Guatemala. Therefore, I am pleased to tell you that I will be part of a short-term missions team that will be ministering in the Shadow of His Wings Orphanage in Guatemala on March 17th through March 24th.
We will be involved in everything from children’s ministries with the children in the orphanage to evangelism in the community of Monjas, church ministries, and construction on the orphanage site.
James 1:27 says this: “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” I thank you in advance for joining together with me and also with the team in walking in this pure religion as we strive to obey the Lord in taking care of and loving on the orphans and widows.
I am excited about what God is going to do through this ministry this spring and beyond. I do, however, need your help. I will be flying to Guatemala and will need to cover expenses for the trip. I will need to raise around $1,600 before January 22nd. Anything you can do to help will be so greatly appreciated.
