J. Guadalupe's Medical Expenses

I am writing this on behalf of my uncle, Jose Guadalupe Herrera who is an amazing person with an incessant love of life. His passions include his beautiful wife Betty, his daugthers Nadia and Regina, his medical career, and speed. He loves riding on his motorcycle on his spare time and exploring the roads across the country. About two and a half months ago, Guadalupe was shocked when he was diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic syndrome) which is considered a form of cancer of the blood.
Although surrounded by many supportive family and friends, this unexpected speed bump has cost his family a tremendous amount of time and money.
Betty and Guadalupe have taken several months off of work. Guadalupe has stayed in the hospital for close to two months now while undergoing several medical therapies including blood transfusions and chemotherapy. A bone marrow transplant was recommeneded by his doctors in order to improve his health.
Recently, his six siblings were tested for bone marrow compatibility. By the grace of God, two of his siblings were found to be 100% compatible! The family is counting its blessings but there is still a long road ahead.
Guadalupe is expected to undergo the bone marrow transplant in the next month. In the meantime, he will continue to be treated at the Instituto Nacional de Cancerologia (INCan) in Mexico City. The medical bills continue to add up as he continues unable to work.
The money raised from this page will go directly to pay for the bone marrow transplant and any medical expenses being accrued in the meantime.
