Live Kidney Donor~The Gift of Life

My husband's brother, Christopher, is up from South Carolina to be a live kidney donor for his sister, Dawn, (http://www.gofundme.com/fevctw) who is at end stage renal failure and time is of the essence before she doesn’t qualify for the surgery. My husband, living close, and a friend had gone first because of Christopher’s distance and the hardship it would cause, but they didn’t qualify to donate. So he made the trip up and as luck would have it, was a perfect match and surgery is scheduled for November 18th. Due to him giving his sister the gift of life, he had to leave his wife and three kids home in S.C. while he’s up in Jersey. I’m in the process of trying to help them come up just to see him through the surgery as they cannot miss school and his wife has to work to try to make ends meet as best as possible. This will be tough for her as most of our family is here in Jersey and we cannot just run over and help out as well as she and her children won’t be able to see him. He will be out of work for a minimum of 6 weeks since he does not have what’s considered a light duty job all before the holidays. If anyone can donate and help ease the financial burden his family will incur, we would all really appreciate it. It will be one less thing for him to worry about especially since the distance between them for the next few weeks is going to be hard enough.
