Inaugural Season of the GSWO

The Golden State Wind Orchestra was founded in the summer of 2015 with the desire to prove that wind music is valued, accessible and cool. With a dedicated group of hard working staff and sixty talented musicians, the ensemble has been hard at work preparing for the first two concerts of the season. As can be imagined with starting a group of this size, funding is imperative. The money would go to wages, licensing, performance permission, liability insurance, recording equipment, paperwork to establish non-profit status, advertising, and purchasing repertoire. Our missions are creating employment for musicians, providing high quality performances for the public, collaborating and creating new and exciting performance opportunities with other artistic collaborators, and establishing educational opportunities for local schools and students.

The Golden State Wind Orchestra is currently in the process of being granted non-profit status. The paperwork was turned in during June 2015, and the wait time is estimated to be 3 to 12 months. We will keep everyone updated on the status. In the meantime, we are relying on the generosity of the public to help us get started.

If you decide you would like to contribute and receive one of the donation packages below, please email us with your name, email or phone number (whichever is best to reach you), and how much you donated. Once we confirm the information, we will contact you as soon as possible to complete the process and collect any extra information we need from you. Each donor level will receive their benefits, and will include the benefits of the levels below it. You may opt out of any part of your package, but may not add. Benefits stack up with multiple donations!

Donor packages are listed lowest to highest. Every donation, regardless of amount, will receive a thank you letter signed by the entire main staff and board of the GSWO, and will be recognized on each program for the current season.

Rewards will close on June 11th, 2016.

Friend of the Orchestra: Donate at least $25 and receive: A pair of tickets, redeemable at any time.

Bronze Donor: Donate at least $50 and receive: A CD of the first concert, and a t-shirt with the GSWO logo.

Silver Donor: Donate at least $200 and receive: A pair of tickets to the GSWO’s inaugural season (2 concerts), and an exclusive CD, signed by the director.

Gold Donor: Donate at least $500 and receive: a second exclusive CD, signed by the director.

Platinum Donor: Donate at least $1,000 and receive: A private luncheon with the board.

Executive Donor: Donate at least $2,500 and receive: A pair of tickets at every concert, renewable after 5 years.
