Remembering Derrick 'D' Cadotte-Rubery

Monday afternoon Derrick Cadotte-Rubery at the young age of 28 was killed in a motor vehicle accident. While riding his motorcycle which was one of his greatest passions. Derrick was struck by a car and unfortunately passed at the scene, he was on his was home from work to head out for a game of golf with friends.

 

Derrick and his family are very close to my heart as a long time friend and they have always treated me like family-so I’d like to return the favour. He has left behind the sweetest 7 year old son who will always know that he is loved, Derricks family and friends will make sure of that.

 

He will be remembered greatly by his squad that busted ass at D.Rubery Carpentry to build houses and better lives for everyone.

If you ever had the pleasure of meeting this man you know he was always the life of the party and you couldn’t wipe the smile off his face.

 

We can’t begin to imagine the heartache his family is experiencing, his family are all crushed by this loss. No one plans to have this kind of tragic accident rip a piece of their family away. I’m hoping together we can raise enough money to cover D’s funeral expenses and any remaining funds go to helping his girlfriend Mackenzie with the household bills, and his mother Ann and his sisters with anything they need while they take time away from work to grieve.

 

As one of the most genuine and generous people that has ever graced this earth, I’m hoping our community can repay Derrick for all of the love and help he has provided in his life. These costs being covered will allow this family one ounce less of stress so they can begin to process this immensely difficult situation in their darkest days.
