We're Green Tile Social Club, a mahjong community based in New York City & founded by four Chinese, Hong Kongese, Taiwanese-American friends. We host pop-up mahjong events around the city to help young people like us (re)connect with community and culture.

What does Green Tile Social Club Do?

We pop up and host mahjong events for young AAPI and our friends/allies around the city.

Month to month, we partner with our favorite Asian-owned or -supported venues and brands to connect people like us through this simple table game, great vibes, and likeminded community. Mahjong is an inherently social game, and we love pairing it with other social activities that are core to our lifestyles and the culture of this city — be it dinner parties, wholesome weekend vibes, nightlife, or otherwise.

How can I support Green Tile Social Club?

We run this passion project turned small business in addition to our careers, but it takes a village to grow.

From the beginning, our focus has always been on community, which has now grown into more than 7,800+ individuals in less than 2 years! Our current goal is to preserve our spirit for community and grow even deeper roots within the NYC AAPI space— through events, partnerships, and special projects. Every ounce of support helps us do so!
