Greece- Euro Relief

Donation protected
Since coming to Georgia Tech, I have found a local Atlanta church called Grace Midtown that I attend weekly. Through Grace, I have been able to meet many incredible, loving people, one of them being John Michael McCaffrey. John Michael and I have been doing a small group, which turned out to be just him and me, every Monday night.

Ever since I have met him, he has challenged me to become a better version of myself every day, and to do that through following God’s word. While we share our prior weeks challenges and praises, we also tend to discuss topics that require a lot of thought. He brought one of these topics to the table when he mentioned Euro Relief. He has volunteered with Euro Relief in Greece before, but will not be able to this winter break due to an upcoming internship he has planned for a long time. This led to asking me if I would be willing and able to fill his spot as well as the other volunteers who will be going home for the winter break. After a lot of prayer and thoughtful reasoning, I decided it would a be a huge leap of faith that I am absolutely willing and excited to take.

Euro Relief is a Greek nonprofit, non-governmental organization that currently works on Lesvos, one of the Greek islands. Many refugees are coming to Greece in need of basic necessities. Euro Relief provides these necessities (shelter, clothes, and sanitation) and assistance when they arrive on Greece’s shores. I will be interacting directly with these refugees, and providing them with the necessities and assistance that is desperately needed.

I have worked extremely hard to be able to make this trip work, and I know that with your support, I will grow so much mentally, emotionally, and spiritually from this trip. Through this trip, I will also be able to show God’s love to the many people who need just that.

I would be extremely appreciative if you could donate to help me fulfill the financial burdens of a trip like this. The money from this Go Fund Me will go towards a round-trip ticket to Greece, housing while on Lesvos, and food while on Lesvos. The trip will begin December 18th and I will return to the United States on January 5th. Your support means everything to me, and I am so thankful that God has set an opportunity like this one on my heart.
