I am a hiker who loves Greasy Creek Friendly, I am trying to help Connie Pruitt save her Beloved Hostel, Greasy Creek Friendly which she has run since 2002.
Connie said please consider this a long term loan, that she will be paying back everyone in order of donations. She is just trying to save
Greasy Creek Friendly and getting out from under her Ex’s thumb.
She has been paying her ex-husband $250 dollars a month with a rent to own contract, sadly she still owes him $29,000 and her contract with him ends next June 1, 2019. He has expressly told her he will sell the property if she cannot come up with the money by end of her contract.
Through out the years Connie has helped so many hikers in good weather, bad weather and has always been there to help hikers, she was voted 7th best Hostel in 2017 by The Trek https://thetrek.co/appalachian-trail/best-appalachian-trail-hostels/
All I am asking for is if everyone who has had the pleasure of staying at Greasy Creek Friendly can donate at least JUST $1 (dollar) so she can pay off her ex so she can keep Greasy Creek Friendly open for past, present and future hikers which everyone who knows her knows helping hikers is what she loves.
