Hi, my name is Hannah Robinson aged 19 from Killingworth and I have recently been accepted into a top drama school in New York City called The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Thousands audition every year in the hope to attend this prestigious school, with only a few successful on the path to their dream job. The school has trained Hollywood Stars including Danny DeVito, Anne Hathaway and Paul Rudd to name a few.

I have trained at Stars Academy Dance and Stage School in Shiremoor. Principal Victoria Thompson says, ‘I am extremely proud of Hannah, she has such Star Quality and has the potential to have an amazing career in the Tv and Film Industry.’

I also became a fully qualified teacher gaining Distinction with the IDTA after training for her Musical Theatre Diploma at Stars Academy.

I have also been studying musical theatre and training with The Worx Academy!

Why I want to be an actress-

I want to train be an actor because of the incredible ability we possess of becoming a whole different character. Acting is the power of telling a story through words and expression and I believe that my career and passion is within the acting industry. I feel a sense of purpose when I perform, I am able to fully immerse into a role and engage the audience without any judgement. I am drawn to complex character development and the presentation of performing for example, becoming a completely different induvial and creating a realistic atmosphere by captivating the audience. Training to become an actor will allow me to grow and learn more about the art of acting, myself and the inspiring actors in the industry past and present. I also want to be an actor because of the variety of genres and styles acting has for example, I currently train in acting for stage and screen and I want to research and practice to become the best performer I can be for my future career. I believe that my positive outlook along with my determination to train as an actor will help me overcome obstacles that I may encounter in my professional career.
