Grant's Liberia Study Abroad Trip

I need your help, please!
My name is Grant Bennett, a sophomore majoring in Psychology at Morehouse College, and I was selected to attend the Liberia West Africa Educational Enrichment Fellowship Program. The program is a nine-day service learning initiative. From December 9th through December 18th, I will join a diverse group of students from the Atlanta University Center to embark on this unique experience.
Throughout our time in Liberia we intend to:
-Work side by side with non-profit, Planting a Seed International.
-Conduct service work at Owensgrove Elementary and Junior High School by distributing brand new school supplies, assisting teachers, tutoring students.
-Live near the communities we serve, experiencing customs and forming lasting connections with locals.
- Participating in "colloquial" language lessons.
- Shop in local markets and experience the day-to-day
life of a Liberian.
-Educational tours developing an understanding of Liberia's contributions to the world.
At Morehouse, I work for the Office of Student Services as a Dean of the College Intern; in addition, I serve as Student Success Student Intern. I am a member of the Maroon Tiger baseball team and the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. I conduct research in the psychology department on campus and for the Center for Research and Engagement in Diversity at the University of Georgia.
I never thought that I would have the opportunity or financial support to go to Atlanta for college, let alone the chance to travel to Liberia. Throughout college, I have learned that knowledge is key; however, exposure is essential for a person to truly grow. This experience would not only enhance my educational outlook but, shift the way I perceive the world. The true value of this program lies within how I will mature from this fellowship and use my experiences to serve my community once I return.
While this is a unique opportunity, it is not funded by the institution. This is where I am seeking your help. I am asking for a donation of any amount to help me cover the total cost of my program expenses.
All the donations will go toward covering the program fees which include air transportation, ground transportation, gas, bus rental fee, driver, housing, food, tour guide, and travel insurance.
I am extremely appreciative and grateful for donations of any amount. In return for your donation, I will document and share my experience with you through my social media accounts, which will include a video of my experience.
