Please join us in donating to Grant Raymond's medical and healing fund in the battle against glioblastoma brain cancer. Grant was diagnosed with advanced stage glioblastoma recenlty following brain surgery to attempt to remove the cancerous tumor. Grant is in for a hell of a fight, but that certainly wont stop everyones' favorite "former genius" from giving glioblastoma a run for its money! Grant and his family have decided to take every possible avenue to beat glioblastoma. With the recent diagnosis Grant is already in the process of chemo and radiation, along with seeing the best specialists available. This medical fund is to help alleviate the financial burden of treatment and healing. Grant is a former member of the United States Marine Corp. He is currently an active 19 year member of the Chicago Fire Department. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2016. Prior to that Grant was a firefighter on Squad 1, Truck 2, Tower Ladder 37, Truck 40 and Engine 99. As of 2013 the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) reported that 68% of firefighters get cancer in their lifetime, which is about 45% higher for members than the general public. We have all been affected by cancer but hope that Grant's youth, determination and our help will see him through another one of Grant's many adventures!
