I am Christina of the Nash and Petra Leon Family. I am the daughter of Theresa Leon. I am a working artist in the city of New York.

I describe my work as a shamanic release with the intention to create a view into the otherworlds that surround us. Whether you see that as a fantasy or reality is up to you. In vaired mediums (dolls, makeup artistry or wearable art,) I help others transform into a fantasy, alter ego, or just the best possible manefestations of themselves. Using sculpture and makeup these transformations are possible. There is nothing that gets me more fueled about life than the act of creation.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to make it possible for me to be with my Grandma Petra, who has been one of the most important figures of my life. She has given me the guiding light and whole perspective to live strong in this world of chaos. Whether she is aware of it or not, she is a very important figure to myself and so many others. She has literaly raised 3 generations of children.
During this current paradigm, she is suffering a great deal in a hospital in California on life support. My Grandma Petra has never been in bed for any reason. She is strong willed, independant, a constant go-getter, in charge and takes care of everyone around her. Her heart is big, and there is nothing I wouldn't do to be by her side right now. I jumped on a plane as soon as I heard she was on life support, I really needed to make that jump. As a working artist in New York City, I do not have the luxury of taking time off work to stay somewhere else. I don't even have a plane ticket back to New York.
I must be here to support my Grandma Petra and the rest of my family - especially my Mother Theresa whom just survived a serious accident last year, and really is not in the best condition to handle this. I am hoping for a recovery. I really believe she can push through. I mean after all her name literally translates into "Hard Rock." And her birthday is only in a few days!
The purpose of this fundraiser is to fund the travel and time off work to be here.
I am so upset that this is happening so suddenly. I felt the urge and immediacy coming through to change my life and head down to her state and spend some real time with Grandma Petra and Mother Theresa. I was planning on doing so with my partner Johnny in the next few months. But it seems as though time could not wait.
As adults in the crazy unceasing world, it is hard to pause our lives and see the bigger picture. To see what really matters in your heart of hearts. That is a personal choice. For me I have realized how important it is to be here - especially for the people that so very much deserve it.
I do not feel right in asking for donations. But instead would feel right in opening my doors to creation. Asking you possibly, if you like my work to commission me! To make a Halloweenie just for you! <or> message me to discuss something else you would like in your budget.
I love to create, and it would mean so much to be allowed time to spend with her from the funds raised with my artwork! Grandma Petra has always believed in my art, even though it is weird and so am I. She never made me feel bad about not being normal. She has been proud of me and of the life I have created with my art.

"The Halloweenies" are a collection of limited and one of a kind art doll figurines. Skeletal energies that permeate the purge we all must go through.
The face is hand sculpted with Supersculpey and hand painted with makeup and acrylics. The body is glass painted with acyrlic and filled with raw Frankinsence/Myrrh/Sage. Legs and arms are real Bobcat Toe Bones painted with makeup.
All is sealed in a Matte Finish.
The Halloweenies are made of glass, and sit quite naturally.
Price is $50
You will have a Custom Halloweenie doll right before October! possibly sooner!
