Grade 5 ac separation surgery
Donation protected
On Monday September 28th, I registered to sign up to race bmx so that I can have my son see me doing the same thing he was doing. I really wanted him to look up to me and see that I can do it too. On my second race, going into the first corner, I crashed really hard directly on my head and shoulder. I ended up going to the emergency room for x rays and came away with an ac separation. At my first appointment with a surgeon, they told me it was a grade 5 separation and highly suggested surgery, especially since I’m only 34. I want the surgery but am not sure how to pay for it. I can’t work right now and I could have signed up for spot by life but it wasn’t offered to me prior to racing and they won’t back date it. I want a chance to be able to race again with my son and to still be able to keep a roof over my head while I’m missing work. I know it’s been a rough year an times have been tough for everyone. Anything will help and I will appreciate everyone and anyone that can help.
