Graciously Graceful

A little over a year ago, my classmates and I began our first trimester in Chiropractic school.
During the first few months, the word that kept presenting itself was “family”. It turns out, that
particular description of what our classmates would soon become could not be more true.  We
have become a family over the last year, and we constantly pull together when life throws us
curveballs.  And as we’ve learned, sometimes those hardships get thrown to the best of people. 
This certainly goes for our classmate, Grace.  If you ask any of our classmates to describe Grace,
you would hear loving, kind, generous, feisty - and my personal favorite - the only person I know
that can mount an entire sidewalk while reversing out of a parking spot.  She is the kind of person that
can walk in to a classroom and bring a smile to everyone’s face.  She always makes a point to say hi or
good morning everyday.  She is someone we are proud to call a friend and a 
sister during this process. 

A little over a month ago, Grace had surgery to remove what she thought was a cyst from behind her
knee.  This past weekend she received a phone call from her doctor, letting her know that it
wasn't a cyst.  Instead, it was Stage 3 Liposarcoma.  Due to school, she is unable to work and
therefore, there is a huge financial burden on the horizon.  We have set this up to help Grace as
much as possible with the financial aspect of medical costs during this journey.  Any dollar that
can be given will be appreciated by so many, and if you can't donate please pray she can fight the battle
ahead.
