The Liberia Civil war that lasted from December 1989 to August 2003 brought so much hardship on many people. Children lost their parents of which many have become orphans, while some are taking to the streets and engaging in bad life style. The recently ended EBOLA epidemic further worsen the situation for many leaving many children abandon and left to take care of themselves. Johnsonville in Liberia was no exception to the massive devastation and destruction of both the ended civil war and the Ebola epidemic. We ourselves (campaign organizer) having been through the Liberian civil war, being captured and humiliated and tortured by rebel forces for several months in the jungles of Liberia, can truely tell you that it was a very terrible experience. One of us also was present in Liberia during the Ebola epidemic and witness the untold suffering and aftermark pain it has inflated on children.
That is why Grace World International as an organization have decided to help and restore hope by sending as many children as we can back to school. Currently, we are carrying on a regular weekly feeding program for children in Johnsonville, Liberia.
We have also started the process of sending several children within that community to school. It cost 100 USD or 900 Norwegian Krona to support a child in school for a school year.
Our target for the next school year is to put 110 children in school; it will cost a total of 11, 000 USD or 99, 000 Norwegian using the average conversion amount of 1 USD to 9 Norwegian Krona. Any amount that you are able to donate will help us and will go a long way in keeping these children hope alive again.
Our organization Liberia office is also located in Johnsonville, Liberia and will serve as the Ground management team for the management of this fund.
