Grace Heiserman

Hello! My name is Sammy Burrus and I am good friends and basically a sister-in-law to Grace! I am hoping by posting this that we are all able to help Grace Heiserman in her fight against lymphoma.

For those unfamiliar with Grace’s story she was recently diagnosed with stage 2B Classical Hodgkin’s Lymphoma nodular sclerosing type at the age of 25.

A little backstory; On March 8th She had some symptoms that warranted a trip to the ER to check for a blood clot since She was pregnant at the time and had Covid back in January. After some tests and a CT scan, it showed She didn’t have a blood clot but showed some concerns with the lymph nodes around her mediastinum being quite enlarged. Fast forward through a c-section that brought us miss Layla, a thoracic surgery with chest tube placement for the biopsy, several different scans and tests, a bone marrow biopsy, her port placement, and that leads us to yesterday when grace had her first round of chemotherapy for her lymphoma. As you can see from the timeline this all happened very quick and I’m sure was quite overwhelming for her and her family.

Grace is married to Caleb Heiserman and they have two beautiful daughters, Stella (22 months old) and Layla (1 month old). I am hoping by making this page we as a community are able to help lessen the financial burden they may feel from this in the future. All donated money will go directly to Grace and will be used towards medical bills, medical supplies, travel, and expenses related to her appointments and hospital stays.
