Measure for Measure

Shafer Alliance Laboratory Theatre presents Measure for Measure, a completely student led production directed by Mia Richards! Shakespeare's dark comedy centers around the Duke of Vienna who gives his position of power to Angelo, who eagerly imprisons Claudio for premaritally sleeping with his fiancé, Juliet. Angelo comes to the conclusion that he will release Claudio if he can be with Isabella, Claudio's feisty sister. With important themes of power and morality, Measure for Measure is a still relevant piece today, with a large range in contrasting characters, both hilarious and ill-tempered.

As one of the first performances to return to an onstage setting, we will need help in telling this story. The cast and crew of this production are very thrilled to be storytelling once again and would love any help we could receive! Donations go towards our technical aspects within this story, such as costuming, lighting, sound, and prop design.

We plan to incorporate stained glass within our set, period piece clothing, and detailed lighting design to help us establish location.
