Run 4 Steve

On Sunday November 22nd I will be running in the GORE-TEX® Philadelphia Half Marathon.  I will run to raise funds for the Steve Spillane Medical & Family Well-being Fund.  Steve is a member and past president of the Commodore John Barry AOH of Gloucester County NJ.  In June his company unexpectedly closed their doors which left Steve and his family without a source of income and benefits.  In July at only 49 years old Steve was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and due to the bankruptcy of his former company and employment status he no longer had benefits, and was not eligible for COBRA coverage or unemployment.  The last several months have been challenging for Steve his wife Roni and his children Andrew and Melissa.  While Steve continues to battle this terrible disease, many people have pitched in to help the family during this difficult time, but so much more is needed.  I am asking you to help me help Steve and his family to raise funds to help defray medical costs and to contribute to maintain the quality of life of the family as we approach the holiday season.
