Keeping Millie Healthy

Millie is just 1 year old, thought to be born on November 27th 2019. I just recently got her on December 3rd, 2020 from a shelter. I fell in love with her the moment I met her, she is the sweetest cat i’ve ever met. She is currently registered as my Emotional Support Animal, and I don’t know what I would do without her. She has made such an impact on my life in these last two weeks. She’s made me feel comfortable enough to open up with new people and get out to try new things. She is also my first pet whom I am fully responsible for.

This morning, (12/19/20) I woke up and found she was sick. She was throwing up around my room and had discharge coming from her left eye, and now both. She has been sneezing uncontrollably and started showing signs of aggressive behavior, indicating that she is in pain. She hardly eats her food or drinks her water anymore, and I just want her to get better so she can be the sweet loving cat she once was. I was worried about her so I decided to stay home with her and watch her to make sure she’s okay. I had to call out of work to make this happen, and they let me know this wasn’t a valid reasoning with their company even with provided documentation. They gave me a call back telling me they had to let me go.  This was even after my shift yesterday when my car had cut out on the highway on my way to work and I still found a way to make it in.

So today I find myself without a job, car troubles, and a very sick pet who requires extensive medical exams which come with a hefty price.
