Mike’s Recovery

My name is Kaity and I am doing this go fund me for Mike Roberts. I met Mike at a Tennessee Tech baseball game where he was cheering on his son Ethan. Ethan and Hopelyn quickly became my best friends and along with them came Mike. It took me about 5 minutes to realize that Mike was literally the kindest person I had ever met. About an hour after meeting him he’d already welcomed me to come over for a meal at his house anytime. They always said southern charm was a thing but I don’t think I’d ever experienced someone like Mike before. I’ve never met someone who is so selfless and only wants the best successes for all those around him that he will give up his own personal dreams for others.

         A few months ago I was FaceTiming Hopelyn and Ethan and they told me that Mike just found out he had prostate cancer. Mike is still just as jolly as he always was and puts the best face on for everyone around him. His resilience and positivity throughout this hard time is encouraging and motivating to those watching him go through this journey. The reason I am raising these funds are to help cover the medical bills that have come up. Some examples of the related costs are the insurance deductibles for tests, treatment, hospital stays and doctor visits. Anything helps and we appreciate prayers for a fast recovery.
