We have reached our initial target goal to pay for the production of 450 hazmat suits with the materials available in Kalinga ($2400). The fundraising is still ongoing to purchase additional hazmat suits, masks, booties, head covers, and alcohol. Agyaman kami launay ti tulong yu.

Can you help us raise money to protect the Kalinga frontliners against COVID -19?
Please help us raise money to sew protective personal equipment for our medical personnel as they continue to provide medical services in the province amidst the threat of COVID-19. This is an urgent need and will be important in protecting them against sickness and quarantine procedures during this pandemic.
Through the efforts of concerned young humanitarian Professionals in Kalinga, the proper PPE grade materials needed to make 450 gowns with foot cover and head caps (verified by Kalinga medical doctors) have been delivered in Tabuk City. However, they are still trying to raise P120,000 to pay for the labor costs of skilled dressmakers to sew the gowns (that's P200 per gown). The current exchange rate for US$1 is fluctuating between P48-P49 as of 4/12/2020.
Distribution of the gowns will be directed towards Kalinga Provincial Hospital nurses assigned to the COVID Lane and their guards. Kalinga Provincial Hospital is the designated COVID Hospital for the province. We also want to distribute to Philippine National Police members who are assigned checkpoint duty at the entry and exit points of Kalinga. If more are available, the gowns will also be distributed to referring medical personnel at district hospitals in the province.
This is a citizen-led initiative and does not replace the procurement that the province is expecting to receive from the Department of Health. This is meant as a stop-gap effort to ameliorate the existing supply gap for PPE grade gowns in Kalinga.
