Goss Family Fund

Donation protected
The Goss family has been devastated by an overwhelming series of tragedies - they need help. Infant loss, broken dreams and now the final blow... they just received news they can't move home.

Our goal is to relieve the financial burden from these tramatic years so they can focus on family, healing and rekindling hope for the future. (Read the full story below).

This gofundme will:

1. Help with costs to decontaminate/gut their home because a tenant has been cooking meth inside for the past year. The house is currently unlivable.

2. Help pay for storage of their belongings while they continue through this season of displacement.

3. Help gain mental and emotional stability after a year of unspeakable trauma.

Their Story:

On Febuary 9th of 2017, Jamie and Grant learned during an ultrasound visit their baby had a birth defect (anencephaly) that was “not compatible with life”; he was missing most of his skull and brain. Despite the inevitable, they decided to carry him to full term and on July 6th 2017, they met Royce Quill for the first time.

Five beautiful and devastating hours later, they said goodby to Royce as he took his last breath. You can read Jamie's words about the loss of their infant son HERE.

A year before they found out the traumatic news that would change them forever, they were settling into a new life as sustainable ranchers in New Mexico. For years, Grant and Jamie had sacrificed and worked toward this dream.

With the news of Royce, they were torn. Move home and receive the support of family, or stick it out and continue pursuing their dream in the lonely high desert of New Mexico?

Recognizing the emotional tsunami racing toward them, they moved back to Arizona, but needed to wait to move back into their home. While they were in New Mexico, they had rented their Arizona home to who they thought was a responsible tenant.

They found a place to land and grieve in Arizona for a few months while the lease expired on their home.

Recently, they began to have serious concerns about their tenant and suspected drug use on their property. It was far worse.

Their tenant was cooking meth in their home.

This means no amount of 409 and Windex will do the trick. They either need expensive decontamination treatment or to completely gut the home. When a meth operation is in a home, it affects everything .

"Home-cooking meth spreads toxins to every inch of the room where the meth was cooked and beyond. Nothing escapes contamination—the carpet, walls, furniture, drapes, air ducts, and even the air itself becomes toxic. Ingesting some of these chemicals, even a tiny drop, can cause immediate death." - Scientific America

Grant and Jamie are still reeling from the loss of their 2nd son and desperately need the grounding and calming affect of their own home. Now, this has been ripped from them. This last blow of financial devastation is something we can help with. Every little bit counts, including the hope that this will bring to them.

Please donate and help these two find stability, peace, and space to grieve.
